Why website maintenance matters
Most hacked WordPress sites aren’t targeted. Bots scan the internet for out-of-date plugins and break in automatically. Once a site is hacked, Google can flag it as dangerous and your enquiries stop overnight.
Keeping a site updated, backed up and monitored prevents almost all of that. It’s dull work, which is exactly why it gets skipped. The care plan means it never does.
FAQ
Questions we get asked
Can I get a care plan for a website you didn’t build?
Often, yes, if it’s on WordPress. We’ll check it first and tell you if anything needs fixing before we take it on.
What happens to unused edit time?
[PLACEHOLDER: does unused time roll over?]
What if my site gets hacked?
With backups and monitoring we can usually restore a clean copy quickly. Clean-up for sites on the care plan is [PLACEHOLDER: included or charged?].
Can I cancel?
[PLACEHOLDER: notice period]. If you leave, we hand over your site, files and domain.
Do I own the website?
Yes. It’s built on WordPress, the domain is registered in your name, and you get full admin access. If you ever leave, you take everything with you.
